Sarah Sortum grew up near Taylor, NE on her family’s ranch in the Sandhills. In 2001 her family started a tourism enterprise on their ranch that made it possible for her and her brother to live and work on the ranch with their parents and respective families. Sarah works for both the Switzer Ranch and Calamus Outfitters, operates her own eco-tourism business, Sandhills Safari Tours, serves on the Loup County Board of Education and the Nebraska Tourism Commission. She and her husband, Mark, have two boys, Emmett and Henry.
Sarah will be sharing how developing a supportive narrative and message around their guest experience has helped build a loyal clientele while efficiently marketing their business.
